The Exstream XR incorporates a three-phase filtration process and EPA-registered filters that remove common waterborne organisms like protazoa, viruses, and bacteria.  The plastic 1.0 micro membrane filters particles while the Virustat pentaiodide iodine cartridge helps disinfect the water.  These filters, used with the activated carbon, keeps the water tasting clean and fresh anywhere you go!
