we can all take towards fighting global warming.
How It Works
Working with Carbonfund.org, EcoGeekLiving
will offset
one ton of carbon for every $250 a customer spends. We
believe this initiative will help us (and our customers) move even
closer to our goal of achieving sustainable, eco-friendly living. We're
proud to have joined the ranks of such heavyweights as Volkswagen, Dell
and a host of other companies working towards a better future.
We support a myriad of
Carbonfund.org's global projects, including:
- Renewable Energy: investing in clean energy development,
such as wind and solar. (see current projects)
- Energy Efficiency: investing in projects that reduce
existing energy use, much of which comes from coal, oil and natural
gas. (see current projects)
- Reforestation: investing in reforestation projects that
absorb existing CO2 emissions, helping to reduce the excess greenhouse
gases that humans have added to the atmosphere. (see current projects)
How You Can Help
All you have to do is
spend $250 on our website. That's it. We'll automatically contribute to
offset 1 ton of carbon in your name to Carbonfund.org!
By joining our
initiative, you will be investing in climate-friendly projects
such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, and reforestation. This
effectively offsets the carbon dioxide emitted during the process of
shipping our products to you.
